MERGE (Mentoring Engaging Restoring Growing Equipping), an organization created by Carla Green, business office pastor at the Vineyard Church, is hosting its monthly conference on Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Vineyard Church, 1500 N. Lincoln Ave, in Urbana.
The topic of the conference is “Community: Stronger. Together.” The featured speaker will be Jeff Scott, Station Manager of WBGL radio. Other special guests will include Mayor of Champaign Don Gerard, Mayor of Urbana Laurel Prussing, leaders of Champaign-Urbana schools, representatives from Restoration Urbana Ministries, the Hope Center and SAFE House as well as other business leaders.
The conference will focus on how business leaders can come together and provide insight and impact within the community, and explore ways to build communities within the workplace.
MERGE describes its mission as “to create a platform where marketplace and church joins together.” All local business leaders and their teams are invited to this monthly forum
