National Weather Service puts Champaign County under tornado watch

The National Weather Service, or NWS, issued a tornado watch Champaign County and surrounding counties until 8 p.m. CST. Earlier, the NWS put northern Champaign and Vermillion counties under a tornado warning that expired at 1:45 p.m.
