Rizzle Kicks is a Brighton-based hip-hop duo made up of Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule. They had two albums released in 2011 and 2013 — light-hearted and catchy projects that garnered them almost 660,000 monthly streams. Composed of a pulsing beat and smooth flow, the duo makes a rousing comeback to the hip-hop world with “Javelin.”

“Tailor Swif” – A$AP Rocky
A$AP Rocky has been teasing his newest album “Don’t Be Dumb” since Paris Fashion Week, originally declaring that it would be out Aug. 30. However, due to leaks, he pushed back the release until fall, releasing the single “Tailor Swif” in its place. Rocky showcases bold lyrics against his usual sonic greatness, preparing fans for his album to come.
“better off” – Esha Tewari
Mixing the delicate strum of the guitar and syrupy vocals, indie singer-songwriter Esha Tewari evokes the spirit of artists like Mazzy Star and Big Thief to create a fragile and emotional third EP. Profound lyrics backed by mellow melodies make this a vulnerable and comforting listen.
“Isotope” – Wasia Project
Wasia Project are British siblings who first began releasing music when they were in their mid-teens. “Isotope” combines the familiar sounds of indie-pop with components of jazz and classical music, creating an album that is rich in delicate melodies and sincere lyricism.
“Think I’m In Love With You” music video – Chris Stapleton
“Think I’m In Love With You” was released in 2023 on Chris Stapleton’s album “Higher.” The singer-songwriter just released the triumphant music video this past week, directed by Running Bear. The video is both sorrowful and cheerful, depicting family and friends joyously reuniting in an afterlife, offering a lighthearted exhibition of life after death.
“Summer Drop” – Cordae feat. Anderson .Paak
The latest collaboration from Cordae and Anderson .Paak is a relaxed and reminiscent song that recalls joyful childhood summers. Cordae and .Paak showcase their strong chemistry over a funky production and animated lyrics. It’s carefree with easy-going beats and a glossy flow, making it the perfect song to listen to over Labor Day weekend.
“100 bux” – Fousheé
Fousheé released her hazy new single “100 bux” off of her upcoming album “Pointy Heights,” out Sept. 13. It’s an aerial whirlwind of dulcet whispery vocals and guitar hymns, combining alt-pop sounds with Ska influences, a Jamaican music genre that originated in the ‘50s. It’s a light-hearted atmospheric experience that previews what’s to come from her new album.
“Midas” – Wunderhorse
Rising English indie stars Wunderhorse just released their second studio album, boasting unbridled energy and an unembellished sound. There are lofty guitar solos amidst crisp harmonies and lead singer Jacob Slater’s husky vocals. The album reminisces some of the greats like Bob Dylan and Thom Yorke, while shamelessly expanding the band’s sound. “Midas” lays the foundation for Wunderhorse to become one of the best bands of the decade.
“3333” – Chance the Rapper
Chance the Rapper received an extensive amount of hate from critics and fans alike with the release of his 2019 album “The Big Day,” but he’s on the resurgence with his recent string of single releases. “3333” is fueled by an upbeat tempo and a nostalgic piano loop that immediately engrosses the listener. Chance’s flow is animated with a conversational tone that makes “3333” an enjoyable listen.
“CRAZY”- LE SSERAFIM
LE SSERAFIM is a South Korean girl K-pop group consisting of five members. Their most recent EP “CRAZY” showcases dance music with a techno vibe and heavy beats. The title track starts with an infectious house beat where the group confidently states the song’s motto before the beat dissolves into the bustling future club classic. Its electronic production along with the animated lyrics make “CRAZY” one of the most notable K-Pop releases of the year.
