Lady Gaga takes on the character of Harley Quinn with her newest project, a companion to the upcoming movie “Joker Folie à Deux.” The 13-song album consists of mostly covers, but there are a few original songs that showcase Gaga’s contemplative lyricism which shines over melodic orchestration. The album embraces an old-school jazz feel, with nostalgic melodies and Gaga’s signature vocals.

“Alone” is The Cure’s first song in 16 years, and a single off their upcoming album “Songs Of A Lost World.” The song’s gothic-sounding instrumentation, led by the dismal pulse of the bass drum and the pound of the piano, showcases a staggering display of vulnerability that reaches almost seven minutes. In a fashion typical of The Cure, the song is slow and melodic, evoking feelings of misery and hopelessness that span throughout the entirety of the track.
Maxo Kream — “Cracc Era” ft.Tyler, The Creator
On “Cracc Era,” Maxo Kream and Tyler, The Creator unite with striking intensity, delivering commanding verses over a shuddering beat. Tyler evokes his usual quirkiness in the song, intertwining meaningful lyrics with random references. The duo’s second collaboration clocks in at just under two minutes, a quick and dramatic nod to their talents.
Jalen Ngonda — “Anyone In Love”
Jalen Ngonda fuses soul with contemporary R&B, creating a delicate, sugary sound that listeners can’t help but be drawn to. In his new single, he explores the fragility of being in love with a syrupy falsetto and serene orchestration. The song perfectly captures the feeling of being in love, encompassing the listeners with velvety vocals and willowy strings.
BIA — “PISSED OFF” ft. Lil Yachty

WILLOW — “wanted” ft. Kamasi Washington
