For many University students, parking is an issue of utmost importance. It often feels like an insurmountable problem that only those with great acumen could come close to conquering.
However, even in the darkest of the night, there is a glimmer of light. The Krannert Center Parking Garage is this light.
This multi-level parking structure is the crème de la crème of parking spaces on campus.
The structure is fully underground, creating complete protection from nasty weather. Two massive levels house an abundance of spaces. Elevators and ramps throughout provide easy access to anywhere in the garage.
For electric car owners, there are limited spaces available for charging as well. And if all that wasn’t enough, the Krannert Center Parking Garage sits in a pristine location.
Of course, the garage resides underneath the beautiful Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, located right across from ISR and only a short walk away from the Main Quad.
With all these amazing amenities, the real question that is left is availability. Though permit parking is throughout the space, meter spots are available, costing $1 an hour. For weekends and after 5 p.m., it’s free reign for all, as the permits are only enforced Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
As with virtually every parking space on campus, there is no overnight parking.
