We’re excited to announce the first installment of a new podcast series called “Buzz-E-Okie.”
The voices behind Buzz-E-Okie are music writers Jess Peterson and Michael Semaca, both sophomores studying Journalism at UIUC. Peterson and Semaca love seeing live music a little more than most people. The pair will be seeing a handful of shows over the summer and talking it about their experiences on the podcast among other music-related topics as well. The podcast is called Buzz-E-Okie for a reason, as the show hosts will be busting out into song during every episode.
Episode I of Buzz-E-Okie features a recap of the Courtney Barnett show from last month in Chicago that Peterson and Semaca both attended. They mostly talk about their favorite moments of the concert but they occasionally show off a pretty mean Australian accent throughout the conversation.
