Drama of Black and White- Pen and Ink Drawings of Hua Nian

Artist Hua Nian’s exhibition, Drama of Black and White, is a collection of sketches done in pen and ink. The sketches are taken from concerts, plays, and sporting events. Minimalist rather than overly detailed, Hua Nian’s sparing use of lines serves to capture a scene just enough to allow the viewer to expand it using their own imagination.
