“Abracadabra” — Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga dropped her newest high-energy dance song, “Abracadabra,” off of her upcoming album “MAYHEM,” which will be released on March 7. The single is reminiscent of Gaga’s older work, invoking the electro-pop nostalgia that established her career. It’s a compelling song, made up of a hypnotic hook and rich synths and accompanied by a riveting music video.
“Woes of The World” — Saba, No ID
“Woes of The World” is Saba and No ID’s fifth joint single, ahead of their joint album that hasn’t been released. Saba delivers quiet and confident verses over a relaxed beat, his words filled with significance despite his hushed delivery. He expresses his discontent with recent rap music and the state of the world as No ID’s beat sinks beneath him.
“S.U” — IDK, Denzel Curry
Denzel Curry and IDK reunite for a hard-hitting single, “S.U.” Curry delivers menacing bars over a reverberating production, creating an intimidating combination that makes “S.U” one of the hardest songs of the year so far. IDK and Curry’s swagger is undeniable, and each verse is packed with unyielding energy that shows off their honed lyricism.
“ACTIN UP” — Tommy Richman
Tommy Richman’s newest single, “ACTIN UP,” is an assertive and nostalgic track with a thumping bass line and a growling rhythm. Forceful vocals are delivered over the striking beat, and the track is further heightened by its irresistible chorus. “ACTIN UP” soundly delivers the statement that Richman is back and better than ever.
“Born Again” — LISA ft. Doja Cat, RAYE
The powerful collab between BLACKPINK’s LISA, Doja Cat and RAYE creates the catchy pop single “Born Again,” with each artist getting their own time to shine in the spotlight. The single is a part of the buildup to LISA’s upcoming solo project “Alter Ego,” which will be released on Feb. 28. As the opening seconds of the music video emphasize, LISA is truly born again with this funky track.
“Nosebleeds” — Doechii
After winning the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album last Sunday, Doechii took no time to celebrate. She takes a victory lap with “Nosebleeds,” a quick but in-your-face single that cements her as the rapper of the year, as Doechii quite literally asks,“‘Will she ever lose?’ Man, I guess we’ll never know.”
“One More Dance” — d4vd
With the release of “One More Dance” comes the announcement of d4vd’s debut album, “WITHERED,” released on April 25. The single dropped with a dark music video that matches its heavy lyrics. The indie artist adds to an already strong discography with this emotional and well-produced track.
“TWENTIES” — GIVĒON
GIVĒON’s latest R&B track tells a sad story of spending your 20s on a failed relationship. The slower, orchestral instrumentation of the single paired with GIVĒON’s strong vocal performance makes it a beautiful and melancholic song. The music video pairs the track with visuals of the relationship shown alongside GIVĒON and his backing jazz band.
“Lucky” — Dora Jar
Despite opening for huge acts such as Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams and more, Dora Jar has yet to bring a big hit to the music scene. A newer indie artist with a discography consisting of mostly slower, guitar-focused tracks, Jar released “Lucky” as her first single of 2025, a touching reflection on a happy relationship. The feel-good song is beautifully crafted through its acoustic sound and simplicity, proving Jar’s strength as an artist.
