“HADES” – Melanie Martinez
Melanie Martinez leans further into her dark, alternative edge with “HADES,” an 18-track album that opens on an eerie note. The intro, “GARBAGE,” pairs haunting vocals with plucked strings and gunshot sound effects, immediately establishing an unsettling atmosphere. While much of the project sticks to Martinez’s signature filtered vocals and steady drum beats, slower moments break through, establishing a more subdued vulnerability that adds contrast to the otherwise shadowy soundscape.
“Younger You” – Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus turns inward on “Younger You,” a stripped-down reflection that trades spectacle for sincerity. Built around a soft acoustic guitar, the song places her voice and lyrics front and center as she writes a love letter to both her younger self and the fans who grew up alongside her. Originally performed as the closing moment of her “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special,” the track offers a reminder to stay grounded and live in a way that would make your younger self proud.
“Back in Love” – Suki Waterhouse
Suki Waterhouse releases “Back in Love,” a dreamy, melancholic single carried by her soft, echoing vocals. Fuzzy drums and layered production create a hazy atmosphere, allowing the song to depict the feeling of moving out of isolation and into love. Following the deluxe release of “Memoir of a Sparklemuffin” in June 2025, the song continues Waterhouse’s knack for blending vulnerability with a polished, nostalgic sound.
“The Best” – Conan Gray
Back in August 2025, Gray released his album, “Wishbone.” Now, he’s treating fans to a deluxe version, with “The Best” serving as the first glimpse into his new material. The pop ballad builds gradually, layering soft instrumentals into a fuller, more emotional release. Gray leans into what he does best, reflecting on yearning and apathy as he sings about a breakup.
