“the van” — Bleachers
Bleachers have been a present sound on the music scene for a while now, both through its consistent album releases and Jack Antonoff’s work with artists like Taylor Swift, Doja Cat and Kendrick Lamar. Ahead of its upcoming album release, the band put out “the van,” a single that opens with a dramatic orchestral theme before settling into its familiar sound. With occasional horns and harmonica solos, the single offers something new to look forward to come album release day May 22.
“Reputation (feat. Dominic Fike)” — Ravyn Lenae, Dominic Fike
Currently touring artist Ravyn Lenae reached huge fame in 2024 with her viral hit, “Love Me Not.” Now, Lanae teams up with Dominic Fike for “Reputation,” a single released along with the solo single “Bobby.” As part of her in-progress album, the unexpected single combines the unique vocals of both artists in a pretty collaboration.

“SAME DIFFERENCE” — Swae Lee
The genre-bending rapper’s first solo album, “SAME DIFFERENCE,” dropped last night after he originally teased it in 2020. “There’s so much that we feel and want to say, it’ll take one thousand years to capture it all,” Lee said in the album trailer, referring to the album as a “glimpse into (his) mind.” The record, which includes features from Post Malone and Rich the Kid, showcases Lee’s willingness to explore new sounds, with each track sounding distinct from the rest.
“Distracted” — Thundercat
Hip-hop producer Thundercat’s first album since 2020 does not disappoint, as “Distracted” presents a fascinating mix of featured artists and musical ideas. With big names like Lil Yachty, A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller and Tame Impala involved, this track list has something for everybody — especially with its upbeat leading tracks like “No More Lies” and “She Knows Too Much.”
“CHICA 305” — John Summit, Feid
The University alum and former DJ for The Red Lion has done it again, this time presenting an upbeat Latin track alongside Colombian singer-songwriter Feid. The track is one of several already released singles from Summit’s upcoming album, “CTRL ESCAPE.” “CHICA 305” provides a reminder that Summit is always willing to try something new and adds welcome variety to an already exciting project.
