Tzechuey Chiou-Peng examines Baili masks after a lecture called “Optical Illusions” on the importance of optics in Baili culture by Margaret Wiener from the University of North Carolina at the Spurlock Museum on Saturday. Chiou said she was an art historian herself, and was interested in finding the basis of the optical theme Margret discussed.
