The C-D pick of the week is Brit singer-songwriter Billy Bragg with his record “Back to Basics”. An English native, Bragg has been on the U-K top twenty multiple times and has over twenty-five albums.

W-P-G-U’s Pete “The Red Barron” Meersman talks about why Billy Bragg is unique.

“Billy Bragg’s musical stylings is essentially Brit Rock. It’s, uh, usually kind of acoustic guitar mixed with some very distinctive singing. For the album “Back to Basics”, it is really just him on guitar singing and expressing his musical talent”

But, Meersman says that this album isn’t the same as his rest.

“It’s different because he has a definite message behind what he is doing and where he is going, he is very distinctive and when you listen to him you really do hear all the aspects of good music all rolled together and it just sounds fantastic when you listen to it”
