According to the Champaign Police Department, a suspect was arrested on Wednesday in the investigation of the shooting of a 28 year-old man yesterday at approximately 11:50 p.m. The crime occurred in the 600 block of E. Bradley.

The suspect was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday in his home in Urbana.

Police received reports that a victim was bleeding in the 500 block of E. Beardsley. When they arrived, however, officers were informed that the victim had already been transported to a local hospital for treatment.

At this time, the status of the victim is unknown.
