A 35-year-old man was arrested at the 400 block of West University Avenue, Monday night.
According to the police report, the offender approached the victim and asked for some money.
When the victim pulled some money from his pocket, the offender tried to grab it out of his hands. The victim tried to tackle the offender but he got away. He was later arrested.
Theft was reported at the 600 block of West Park Avenue, Monday night.

A 41-year-old man was arrested at the Grainger Engineering Library Information Center, 1301 W. Springfield Ave., Monday night.
According to the police report, the man was arrested on an in-state warrant and was later issued a letter of no trespass for the University campus.
Theft was reported outside of the McKinley Foundation, 809 S. Fifth St., sometime after 5 p.m. Friday.
According to the police report, a mountain bike worth $500 was stolen from the bike racks.
Property damage was reported at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC), 201 E. Peabody Dr., between 6 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Monday.
