Theft was reported at the 1200 block of West University Avenue, Wednesday night. According to the police report, two offenders left an Urbana business without paying.
A 35-year-old man was arrested at the 1400 block of East Washington Street, early Thursday morning. According to the police report, the offender was stopped for a moving violation and had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. The man was later arrested for a traffic sign violation, driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of liquor, cannabis 30 grams or under and possession of drug equipment. The man refused to submit to chemical testing.
University
A 19-year-old man was arrested at the UI parking lot C-10, 510 E. Daniel St., Wednesday night. According to the police report, the man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Vermilion County.
A 20-year-old woman was arrested at the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., early Wednesday morning. According to the police report, the woman was arrested for criminal defacement of property and criminal damage to state-supported property for painting on the doors of the Illini Union Bookstore.
