Provena Covenant Medical Center is hosting a health walk 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., Oct. 24 at the High School of Saint Thomas More Track, 3901 N. Mattis Ave, Champaign, Ill.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Sister Mary Gabriel Curby Endowment Fund, which provides access for the poor to quality heath care and to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul to help feed the hungry, according to a press release.
Those who raise at least $25 will receive a shirt and get a chance to see Dr. Terence Fitzerald attempt to break a world record by lifting 300,000 lbs with his upper body, 100,000 lbs with his lower body, run 14 miles, do 25 miles of elliptical work, bike 120 miles, walk 15 miles with a 30-lb pack, do 2,000 crunches, and row 20 miles in 19 hours, ending at the walk, Oct. 24, according to the press release.
