A public hearing regarding the consolidated plan for the City of Urbana and Urbana HOME Consortium for the fiscal years of 2010-2014 will be held Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. at Urbana City Building, 400 S. Vine St., Urbana.

According to a press release from the City of Urbana, the consolidated plan shows the community’s affordable housing and development needs and will determine a planning process to be used for prioritizing the strategies.

The community development needs will be taken into consideration when determining the use of City of Urbana Community Development Block Grant and HOME Consortium funding stated the release.

The press release stated that the City of Urbana will use the public input to determine budgets for the CDBG and HOME program.

The release stated that applications for CDBG and HOME Consortium funding for community development projects will be available Dec. 7.
