Champaign

A 49-year-old man was arrested on the charges of retail theft, aggravated battery and possession of drug equipment at County Market, 331 E. Stoughton St., on Thursday.

According to the police report, the offender took two bottles of alcohol without paying and battered store security in an attempt to flee the premises. A search found the offender in possession of drug equipment.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on the charge of possession of alcohol on public property at the 1800 block of West Bradley Avenue on Friday.

According to the police report, the offender was observed urinating on the building. Upon contact, the officer found the offender holding an open liquor bottle. A notice to appear was issued.

A 51-year-old man reported theft at the 800 block of West Vine Street on Friday.

According to the police report, the offender stole the victim’s garbage can.

A 51-year-old man was arrested on the charges of trespass to land/real property and disorderly conduct at Market Place Mall, 2000 N. Neil St., on Friday.

According to the police report, security called authorities to remove the offender.

Urbana

A 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were both arrested on the charge of criminal damage to property at Hubert House Bed & Breakfast, 710 W. Oregon St., on Thursday.

According to the police report, the offenders spray-painted the business’ door and threw an object that damaged property.

A 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were both arrested on the charges of illegal consumption of liquor by a minor, theft and criminal damage to property at the 2000 block of South Vine Street on Thursday.

According to the police report, the two offenders stole a yard address sign and caused damage by throwing it at a vehicle.

University

A 25–year–old man was arrested at the 700 block of South Fifth Street on Friday.

According to the police report, the offender was charged with possession of cannabis and was issued a notice to appear in court.

Theft was reported at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Dr., on Nov. 10.

According to the police report, a sweatshirt, pants, keys, a wallet and credit and debit cards were stolen from lockers on the third floor.

A 19-year-old was arrested on the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol at the 100 block of East Green Street on Tuesday.

According to the police report, the offender was cited with a traffic violation.
