The Champaign-Urbana Citizens for Peace and Justice will be holding a rally in conjunction with National Action Network’s National Day of Outrage against gun violence.

The rally will take place on Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Champaign County Courthouse, 101 E. Main St., Urbana. A reception is schedule to follow the rally at the Independent Media Center, 202 S. Broadway Ave., Urbana.

According to a press release, the rally is being organized to raise attention in nationwide violence in urban communities and in response to the death of 15-year-old Kiwane Carrington, who was killed by a police bullet during an altercation earlier this month.
