The Urbana City Council approved five ordinances on its meeting on Monday evening.
As David Gehrig, Ward 2 alderman, read out each proposal and there was unanimous agreement from all the council members.
The first two ordinances eliminated a yield sign and added a stop sign at the intersection of Nevada Street and Walnut Street in Urbana.
The third ordinance prohibited parking at all times at the following streets: Milford Drive, Goodfield Drive and Walnut Street.
The fourth ordinance deducted one hour from available parking time on Springfield Ave., making the new prohibited time from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
