Assembly Hall is introducing a pilot alcohol sales program at shows during March that are targeted toward adults.
According to a press release from Assembly Hall, the venue has lost shows to other venues that do sell alcoholic beverages during shows.
The pilot program will take place during Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria held March 17-21 and Cabaret, part of WCIA 3 Broadway Series, held April 24.
The program has been approved by President Ikenberry and Interim Chancellor Easter. Assembly Hall is required to give a written report to University administration at the end of the program. The report will determine whether alcohol sales at Assembly Hall will continue.
