The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) will take part in an Immunization Initiative Program.
According to a press release, the CUPHD has been given a one-time grant to help with costs of expanding the availability of certain vaccines to new target populations through the end of 2010.
The CUPHD will be providing free vaccinations of Tdap, Menactra and Varicella to adolescents ages 11-18.
The Immunization Initiative program is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and vaccinations will be given regardless of clients’ insurance status or Vaccines for Children Program eligibility.
