The MTD bus service will be rerouting many of their bus routes for Friday, August 27 and Saturday, August 28 in order to avoid the streets that will be used for the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival.
According to a press release, all routes serving downtown Urbana will be moved because Main Street will be closed between Broadway and Vine and Broadway will be closed between Main and Elm. The Parking Garage stop will be moved to the corner of Elm and Broadway, and the Courthouse stop will be moved to the northeast corner of Elm and Broadway. Routes serving Broadway between Main and University will serve the Broadway area by stopping at the northwest corner of Vine and Water and at the cut-out into Schnuck’s on the southeast corner of Water Extended and Vine Street.
