A residential burglary was reported on the 200 block of East John Street on Sunday. According to the report, the incident occurred around noon last Friday. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked apartment and stole a laptop and a video camera.
A residential burglary was reported near the intersection of Green and Neil Streets Sept. 24. According to the report, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s apartment and stole liquor and a laptop computer.
Fraud of over $300 was reported on the 300 block of South Second Street on Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown suspect stole checks from the victim’s apartment on Aug. 28 and later cashed three checks without the victim’s permission.
A 21-year-old male was arrested for criminal damage to property at 17 E. University Ave. on Thursday morning. According to the report, the suspect kicked the front door of a business at the Inman Plaza.

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at the 4000 block of Montrose Avenue on Sunday. According to the report, the victim’s vehicle was entered by an unknown offender who stole one radio.
Retail theft was reported at the 2000 block of North Neil Street on Tuesday. According to the report, two adult suspects were arrested for retail theft and given notices to appear before being released.
Urbana
An unknown suspect was seen breaking into a vehicle on the 500 block of West University Avenue near Carle Hospital, 611 W. Park St., on Wednesday evening. According to the report, nothing was taken from the vehicle, but the victim did witness the offender fleeing from the scene.
University
A University student was arrested for mob action, aggravated battery, resisting an officer and possession of alcohol as a minor on Thursday morning. According to the report, the 19-year-old student was from Glen Ellyn, Ill.
Destruction of public property occurred at the Art-East Annex Studio, 1208 W. Peabody Drive, Urbana, over the weekend of Sept. 4 and was reported on Wednesday. According to the report, four windows were broken, estimated at $1,000 in damages.
