The University’s College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) received $9 million to help improve Extension systems in the world’s poorest nations.

According to a press release, the University was chosen to be the lead institution of the Modernizing Extension and Advisory Systems (MEAS) project.

The project is set to take place over five years and involves analysis on how to strengthen the Extension systems in 20 of the poorest developing countries.

The project is granted by the United States Agency for International Development and is its largest investment meant for strengthening Extension systems in poor countries in decades.
