A 19-year-old man from Champaign was arrested for theft at the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., in Champaign on Thursday.
According to the report, the offender stole eight textbooks valued at nearly $1,100 from the store and sold them to TIS College Bookstore, 707 S. Sixth St., in Champaign.
Aggravated assault was reported at the 600 block of East Daniel Street, in Champaign, on Oct. 22 before midnight.
According to the report, the victim was walking down the south sidewalk of Daniel Street between Wright and Sixth streets when he was briefly confronted by a group approaching from the north, one of whom called out to the victim and pointed a handgun at the victim’s face, making unintelligible remarks. The victim continued to walk away as the group of five males and two females between 18 to 19 years old continued walking, making unintelligible remarks.
