- An 18-year-old man and 19-year-old man were issued a notice to appear for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia at the Illini Towers, 409 E. Chalmers, on Saturday.
- Residential burglary was reported at the 800 block of South First Street on Saturday morning.According to the report, an unknown offender entered the residence and stole a television off the wall.
- Two 16-year-old juveniles were arrested for aggravated battery, mob action, curfew violation, resisting and obstructing an officer at the 100 block of East Healey Street on Saturday night.According to the report, a group of juvenile subjects jumped the victim as he was walking home and then fled the police.
- An 18-year-old man was arrested for damaging property and resisting and obstructing an officer and a 17-year-old juvenile was arrested for possession of cannabis and obstructing justice outside of Fireside Bar and Grill, 25 E. Springfield Ave., on Sunday. According to the report, the offender threw a bottle, breaking a window at the bar and then ran from police. A second subject was detained with him, who lied to the police about his identity and was in possession of cannabis. Both suspects were from Chicago.
- A 20-year-old man was arrested for obstructing justice at the 300 block of West Eureka Street on Sunday morning. According to the report, the subject lied about his name and date of birth during a search warrant.
- Aggravated battery and mob action were reported at the 400 block of East Green Street on Sunday morning, along with a 24-year-old male arrested for resisting and obstructing an officer, and a 19-year-old male arrested for an in-state warrant and resisting and obstructing an officer. According to the report, a fight involving numerous subjects was observed on the block, as one offender ran from police and was later arrested after a brief foot chase. A second subject was then arrested for interfering with the investigation.
- A 20-year-old man from Urbana was arrested for aggravated battery, unlawful use of weapon and discharge of firearm at the 700 block of South Sixth Street on Sunday morning. According to the report, the suspect battered a 21-year-old male victim with a handgun and attempted to shoot him. The suspect was arrested, and the victim was not shot.
