The City of Champaign will hold an interactive open house Tuesday at the City Building Atrium (102 N. Neil Street in Champaign) to discuss a Regional Housing Study, a press release said.
The Task Force is comprised of the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission, City of Champaign, City of
Urbana, Housing Authority of Champaign County, and Village of Rantoul.
The findings include information about homelessness, neighborhoods and communities in Champaign County. The comprehensive examination, which includes detailed analysis through quantitative data collection, is provided by Vogt Santer Insights (VSI), a real estate research firm. The Task Force supplemented VSI’s research by collecting data from a cross-section of community members and service providers throughout Champaign County.
The interactive open house will give the community an opportunity to learn about Champaign County’s Housing Study. Members of the Task Force will answer questions at the open house in an informal setting. Visitors are encouraged to give input on strategies to improve housing related issues throughout the next five years.
