Champaign
- Nine notices to appear were issued for minor in possession of alcohol at Joe’s Brewery, 706 S. Fifth St., on Friday shortly after midnight. Twelve notices to appear were issued for minor in possession of alcohol at Kam’s, 618 E. Daniel St., on Friday shortly before midnight. Eight notices to appear were issued at Brothers Bar, 613 E. Green St., on Saturday.
- A 20-year-old male from Mahomet was arrested for resisting and obstructing an officer on the 700 block of South Sixth Street on Nov. 10. According to the report, the subject ran from the scene of a fight, was chased down by officers and put under arrest.
- Criminal damage to property and theft was reported on the 200 block of East John Street on Jan. 21. According to the report, an unknown suspect damaged a soda vending machine and stole a window.
- A 31-year-old male from Champaign was arrested for possession of cannabis on the 600 block of East University Avenue at the Circle K gas station Sunday around 1:40 a.m. According to the report, the vehicle was stopped for failure to signal, and the officer could smell strong odor of burning cannabis coming from inside the car.
- Robbery was reported at the Champaign Library, 200 W. Green St., on Saturday afternoon. According to the report, a short, stocky subject wearing a yellow and black jacket, yellow stocking cap and gold boots threatened to harm the victim if he did not give the suspect money.
Urbana
- Residential burglary was reported on the 800 block of West Green Street on Sunday night. According to the report, an unknown offender attempted to gain entry to the victim’s apartment, then fled the scene and ran from police.
University
- A pedestrian/motor vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Prairie Street on Monday afternoon. According to the report, Champaign police responded to an accident where a male seventh grader from Edison Middle School was struck while entering the intersection around a stopped MTD bus, by a Jeep Cherokee sport utility vehicle. The minor was transported to Carle Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
