Champaign
- Deceptive practices were reported on the 00 block of East University Avenue on Saturday afternoon. According to the report, unauthorized charges were made to the victim’s debit card.
- Retail theft and criminal damage to property was reported on the 700 block of South Sixth Street at TIS Bookstore on Jan. 27. According to the report, two books were unwrapped and had their software codes stolen form the inside cover. The codes were then activated for the online copy of the textbook.
- Theft of over $300 was reported on the 100 block of South Second Street at the Alpha Xi Delta sorority house on Saturday evening. According to the report, the victim left her coat and purse unattended inside the house and were missing when she returned.
- Theft of over $300 was reported at the intersection of East John and Oak streets on Jan. 28. According to the report, the victim’s money was stolen by a 56-year-old male from his business.
- Impersonating an officer and harassment by telephone was reported on the 300 block of East Green Street at the Colonial Pantry on Saturday morning. According to the report, a 32-year-old suspect harassed the victim and identified himself as a detective to receive the victim’s work schedule.
- Domestic battery was reported on the 800 block of South Third Street on Saturday morning. According to the report, the victim and offender got into a physical fight, then an unknown subject battered the victim.
- Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of South Wright Street on Saturday afternoon. According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s unsecured vehicle and stole items.
- A 20-year-old male was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and resisting and obstructing an officer on the 700 block of South Sixth Street on Sunday.
Urbana
- Robbery was reported on the 700 block of West Main Street on Jan. 27. According to the report, the victim was approached by four juvenile offenders when one grabbed him and tried to punch him. During the attack, the victim fell and dropped his cell phone, and one of the offenders picked it up and fled the area.
