All lanes of traffic on University Avenue are closed between Neil and Walnut Street in order to safely clear the sidewalks on the south side of the Champaign City Building, a press release said.
The closure will begin Saturday, Feb. 5 at 4 a.m. and end by 7 a.m. the same day. The road will reopen immediately after construction is completed.
Detour signs will redirect vehicles. The public is advised to avoid this area and plan alternate routes, the press release said.
