Urbana
- A 19-year-old male from Chicago was arrested for obstructing justice and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor at the intersection of Lincoln and University Avenues on Sunday morning. According to the report, an unrestrained passenger furnished a false name and had been drinking alcohol. The offender was also issued a ticket for a seat belt violation and having no rear registration light.
- Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported on the 1000 block of West Main Street on Sunday afternoon. According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s vehicle, stole a GPS system and a cell phone accessory.
- Residential burglary was reported on the 700 block of West Illinois Street on Sunday night. According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s residence and stole a computer, two televisions, an electronic gaming system, a bicycle, two items of jewelry and golf equipment.
University
- An 18-year-old University student from Champaign was arrested for obstructing a police officer and illegal consumption of alcohol in Snyder Hall, 206 E. Peabody Drive, in Champaign, on Sunday.
- A 20-year-old University student from Champaign was arrested for resisting and obstructing a police officer and for possession of alcohol by a minor at the Monster Truck show at the Assembly Hall, 1800 S. First St., in Champaign, on Saturday night.
- A 19-year-old female from Champaign was arrested for possession of a controlled substance on Saturday. According to the report, the arrest followed a police check of the parking deck at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, 500 S. Goodwin Ave., in Urbana.
- A 56-year-old University student from Urbana was arrested for operating an uninsured vehicle and unlawful display of registration Saturday night after his vehicle broke down in traffic in the 1400 block of West Green Street, Urbana.
- A laptop, other computer equipment, cash and a backpack were reported stolen at the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green St., in Urbana, on Saturday afternoon. According to the report, the laptop was valued at $1,000.
