Due to a break in weather conditions, the snow buildup on curbs, which is obstructing public parking; will be cleared tonight by Champaign Public Works crews.
The work will begin tonight, February 10th, at 11:30 p.m. and is scheduled to be finished on Friday, February 11th, at 7 a.m.
During this time, downtown parking on streets will be forbidden. This period of time was purposefully chosen, however, because it will be the least disruptive to businesses and the public.
Specific streets that have restricted parking are between Chestnut and Neil streets from east to west, and between Main and Chester streets from north to south.
