Champaign
- A 25-year-old male was arrested for retail theft at the County Market, 331 E. Stoughton Ave., on Monday morning. According to the report, the suspect attempted to take merchandise without paying.
- Criminal damage to property was reported on the 100 block of East John Street on Monday night. According to the report, an unknown suspect damaged the victim’s vehicle.
- Criminal damage to property was reported on the 100 block of East Chalmers Street on Sunday afternoon. According to the report, an unknown suspect kicked the victim’s door in.
- Four subjects were issued notices to appear for minor in possession of alcohol on the 800 block of South Sixth Street on Sunday.
- Criminal damage to property was reported on the 800 block of South First Street on Monday afternoon. According to the report, an unknown suspect damaged the victim’s parked car.
Urbana
- Residential burglary was reported on the 800 block of Harvey Street on Monday morning. According to the report, a 29-year-old male offender forced entry into the victim’s apartment and was seen fleeing on foot carrying stolen items.
- Burglary from a motor vehicle and criminal damage to property was reported on the 800 block of West Oregon Street on Monday afternoon. According to the report, an unknown offender broke out the driver-side window of the victim’s vehicle and stole cash.
- Theft of under $300 was reported on the 700 block of West Illinois Street on Monday night. According to the report, an unknown offender stole the victim’s bicycle that was locked to the stairwell of the apartment.
University
- A 36-year-old male from Urbana was arrested for obstructing justice and for an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop in the 800 block of South Wright Street, Champaign on Monday night. According to the report, the subject was a passenger in the vehicle police stopped.
- A 19-year-old male from Algonquin, Ill., was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis 30 grams and under and illegal possession of alcohol by minor. A 19-year-old male from Arlington Heights, Ill., who was also arrested for possession of drug equipment at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts on the 500 block of South Goodwin on Sunday night. According to the report, Urbana police made contact with subjects sitting in the parking lot and observed open alcohol inside the vehicle. The first offender was found to be in possession of psilocybin mushrooms, cannabis and alcohol and was arrested and taken to jail.
