Champaign

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported on the 600 block of East Clark Street on Saturday afternoon. According to the report, an unknown suspect stole several items from the victim’s vehicle, including cell phone accessories, currency and a GPS system.
• Deceptive practices were reported at Champaign Surplus on the 300 block of South Neil Street on Feb. 16. According to the report, a 25-year-old male suspect used a check from a closed account to purchase items.
• A 20-year-old male from Champaign was arrested for aggravated battery at Joe’s Brewery on the 700 block of South Fifth Street on Saturday night. According to the report, the subject was arrested and taken to jail after officers responded to a fight at the bar.
• A 22-year-old male from Champaign was arrested for possession of alcohol on public property and resisting arrest with a 22-year-old male from Savoy, Ill., who was charged with possession of alcohol on public property on the 700 block of South Sixth Street on Sunday. According to the report, one of the subjects was walking down the sidewalk trying to conceal an open bottle of beer under his sweatshirt.
• A 38-year-old male from Champaign was arrested on an in-state warrant, driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle on the 800 block of South Sixth Street on Feb. 20. According to the report, the subject was found to have a warrant during a routine traffic stop.
• Theft was reported on the 900 block of South Fourth Street on Feb. 25. According to the report, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s medication.

University

• Two 19-year-old male students and a 19-year-old male from Highland, Ill., were arrested for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia near Sixth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Urbana, on Feb. 24. According to the report, the offenders were arrested following a traffic stop.
• A 26-year-old female from Champaign was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and for operating an uninsured vehicle near Fifth and Chalmers streets, Champaign, on Feb. 24. According to the report, the subject was arrested following a traffic stop.
