Absentee voting is now open for Champaign County registered voters. This is for the upcoming Consolidated General Election taking place April 5.
An absentee applicant must verify their identity with an Illinois driver’s license, Illinois ID card or another government issued ID containing the applicant’s photograph to receive a ballot if voting in person, according to the press release.
Absentee voters can vote by mail or at the office of the Count Clerk. The office is at 1776 East Washington St., Urbana.
