Seven vehicle burglaries occurred between the overnight hours of Feb. 23 and early hours of Feb. 24 in Southwest Champaign.

Six of the cars were left unlocked. Items taken include GPS units, checkbooks, money and tennis shoes.

A stolen car was also reported in addition to the burglaries in the 1900 block of Greendale Drive. The car was unlocked with the keys in the ignition.

The Champaign Police Department is urging citizens to lock car doors and remove valuables from the vehicle.
