Champaign
- A residential burglary at Alpha Gamma Rho was reported Friday. According to the report, the fraternity’s alarm was activated, but nothing was missing from the fraternity.
- A 21-year-old male from Champaign was issued a notice to appear in court for public urination on the 500 block of East Green Street on Sunday shortly before 1 a.m.
- Residential burglary was reported on the 500 block of South Fourth Street on Wednesday shortly after 9 p.m.
Urbana
- Armed robbery was reported at Niro’s Gyros, 2001 W. University Ave., on Saturday around 11:30 a.m. According to the report, the victim was approached in the parking lot of the restaurant by an unknown male offender who demanded the victim’s possessions, displaying a black semi-automatic handgun. The victim gave up some personal property, and the offender fled west-bound.
University
- Criminal damage to public property was reported by a building services worker at the Early Child Development Laboratory, 1005 W. Nevada St., at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the sign was covered in white paint, and an empty paint can was left nearby sometime after 2:30 a.m.
- A 23-year-old male from Urbana was arrested on an outstanding warrant for probation violation at 2 a.m. Sunday at the University parking lot C-10, 510 E. Daniel St. According to the report, the offender was with a group of four men who were reportedly harassing pedestrians when police were called.
- A 20-year-old male from Rantoul, Ill., was arrested for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop at 12:15 a.m. Saturday in the University parking lot C-10, 510 E. Daniel St. According to the report, four others in the vehicle were given University no-trespass notices.
- A laptop, flat-screen monitor and digital camera were reported stolen from a room inside the University College of Veterinary Medicine, 1008 W. Hazelwood Drive, at 9:45 a.m. Saturday.
- Tools and equipment valued at $1,200 were reported stolen from a Facilities and Services storage room at the Main Library, 1408 W. Gregory Drive, at 1:45 p.m. Friday.
