Champaign
- Retail theft was reported at the Mobil Super Pantry on the 00 block of East Green Street on March 28 just before 3 p.m. According to the report, the suspect pumped gas into his car, then claimed he forgot his wallet. He provided false information and never returned to pay.
- Battery was reported at Kam’s, 618 East Daniel St., on March 16 around 1:30 a.m.
- A trespass notice was issued to a 24-year-old male at the Illinois Terminal on 00 block of East University Avenue on March 29 just before 1 p.m. According to the report, the suspect refused to leave and was using profanity.
- A 17-year-old male was arrested for battery at the Illinois Terminal on 00 block of East University Avenue on March 29 just before 1:30 p.m. According to the report, the offender hit the victim in the face and then fled the scene. He was later located and arrested.
- Theft was reported at the 500 block of East Springfield Avenue on March 29 just after 4 p.m. According to the report, the victim’s bike was stolen from her apartment building bike rack.
- A 44-year-old male and 45-year-old male were arrested for robbery at Colonial Pantry, 211 W. University Ave., at 3:11 p.m. on Wednesday. According to a press release, the subjects entered the store, got into physical altercations with two employees, took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the scene. Both subjects were located and arrested within the hour.
Urbana
- Robbery was reported at the Kentucky Fried Chicken, 410 W. University Ave., on March 28 just before 3 p.m. According to the report, the victim was leaving the restaurant when two unknown offenders put him in a headlock, dragged him back to their apartment and demanded money. The victim escaped and went back to the KFC to call 9-1-1.
University
- An iPad was reported stolen at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday from a study area in the English Building, 608 S. Wright Street. According to the report, a University student said she left the device unattended, and it was missing when she returned.
