A power outage occurred this afternoon in Urbana and the surrounding area, excluding Champaign.

Leigh Morris, a media representative for Ameren said all outages had been corrected and power was restored to all those affected.

Morris said to his understanding about 2100 people were affected by the outage.

According to Champaign County Clerk Gordy Hulten’s Twitter account, Champaign city election operations will continue at Brookens Administration Center in Urbana as planned.

The election operations were previously moved to a different location due to the outage.
