Green Street closure begins Monday
Beginning Apr. 11 at noon, the eastbound lane of Green Street will be closed between Sixth Street and Wright Street along with the adjacent sidewalk, according to a press release by The Petry-Kuhne Company, general contractors.
These closures will continue for approximately one week, but the businesses along the closed area will remain open.
Powers outages corrected in Champaign
A power outage that started Sunday afternoon, affecting central Champaign, was repaired within two hours of the initial outage.

Ameren spokeswoman Natalie Hemmer said the outage started 1:32 p.m. Sunday with approximately 1,409 outages reported.
Hemmer confirmed later that all power had been restored by 3:19 p.m.
Construction to close one lane of Neil Street
Duce Construction will close one lane on Neil Street between Washington Street and Hill Street to fix a storm sewer. Traffic will be merged into one lane in the construction zone.
Operations will start Apr. 11 at 7 a.m. and end Apr. 13 by 4 p.m., weather permitting.
