A power outage sneaked through certain parts of Champaign this morning.
Leigh Morris, spokesperson for Ameren Illinois, said there was a power outage that began at 9:40 a.m. affecting 92 customers.
By 11 a.m., there were two customers without power, he added. As of 1 p.m., there were 98 customers without power out of 84,911 total customers being served in Champaign County.
According to Morris, the crew working to resolve this issue will be done with repairs around 2 p.m. The outage occurred because of equipment failure.
“We had a problem with a transformer,” Morris said.
