* Criminal damage to property was reported at the 300 block of East Armory Avenue on Sunday.
According to the report, an unknown subject threw a rock and broke an apartment window.
* Theft was reported at the 300 block of South Second Street on Sunday.
According to the report, a DVD player was stolen from the victim’s residence.
*University*
* A 26-year-old male, of Champaign, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday for driving without a valid license following a traffic stop at the 200 block of North Goodwin Avenue, Urbana.
*Theft was reported at the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green St., Urbana at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the report, a cell phone valued at $600 was reported stolen from a table in the building. The phone’s owner said he left the phone at a table while he went to get a drink, and it was missing when he returned.
* Theft was reported at Grainger Library, 1301 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana, on Monday at 4 p.m.
According to the report, a bicycle valued at $350 was reported stolen from a locked parking rack.
* Theft was reported at the Beckman Institute, 405 N. Mathews Ave., Urbana, at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the report, an employee of the institute reported that someone had cut the lock from his bike while it was parked at Beckman’s southwest rack, and then stole the $1,500 bike.
* Fraud was reported at Common Ground Publishing, 2001 S. First St., Champaign, at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the report, someone had fraudulently used the company’s business-issued bank card. The owners reported more than $10,000 in merchandise racked up on the card at grocery and sporting goods stores in Illinois and Indiana from July 21-25. The owner told police he had recently returned from a trip to Brazil and had rarely used the card in the United States.
* A 26-year-old male, of Champaign, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday on the top level of the parking garage at 500 S. Goodwin Ave., Urbana, for driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident and improper passing.
According to the report, University police, who were already on the lower level of the garage investigating an unrelated incident, were flagged down by motorists who said they witnessed the suspect’s vehicle strike another vehicle at the intersection of Goodwin Avenue and Oregon Street, then escape to the parking garage rooftop.
