The Urbana City Council discussed the possibility of initiating a city-sponsored not-for-profit broadband Internet service at their meeting Monday night.

An emergency rally will be held Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 5:00 p.m. for C-U residents to urge Washington to continue health care reform despite the recent defeat in Massachusetts.

A resolution that addressed furloughs and cost-cutting measures was passed unanimously at a special meeting of the U-C Senate at the Levis Faculty Center on Monday.
