Champaign City Council convened Tuesday night for a regular meeting after last week’s hiatus. The city met to vote on a combined total of fifteen resolutions and ordinances.

Public safety agencies and medical facilities participated in a training that tests the delivery of essential healthcare in a pandemic.

There will be a town-hall meeting 3 p.m. this afternoon at the Urbana Free Library Auditorium, 210 W. Green St. At the meeting, area veterans will discuss relevant government issues.

The incumbent Naomi Jakobsson, D-103, who has represented the district since 2002, is being challenged by local business owner Norman Davis, who won the Republican nomination without opposition. They spoke earlier this week at the College Democrats and College Republicans kickoff meetings.
