Three spring scholarships available
The Champaign-Urbana Business and Professional Women are rewarding students with three college scholarships this spring.
The scholarships will be based on scholarly intent as well as need.

Applications can be found at the financial aid offices of the University and of Parkland College and are due by April 30.
Alumni Association offers help to graduating students
The UI Alumni Association offers programs and services to help graduating student’s transition from college to careers and acts as a resource for career connections. By registering for the UI Alumni Association, students can learn about the UIAA Online Directory, Alumni Career Center and Illinois Alumni Clubs for use now and after graduation.
Lecture to address education, health of families, children
Reed Larson, professor of family ecology, human and community development will present “Vegetables, Vocabulary, and Love: Mealtimes as Opportunities for Raising Resilient Children.”
The lecture, to be held Monday at 7 p.m. in the Knight Auditorium in the Spurlock Museum, will address the health and education of families that eat dinner together.
The event is part of the grand opening of Doris Kelley Christopher Hall. The new building will be home to the Pampered Chef Family Resiliency Program and the department of human and community development.

Unit 4 School District to meet Monday to discuss budget
The Unit 4 School District will convene for a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday. The meeting will be held at the E.H. Mellon Administrative Center, 703 S. New St., and will deal with budget issues in the district.
