ON-AIR: Delaying advising appointments could delay registration
October 26, 2006
There are six weeks left in the semester and registration for spring classes is just around the corner. If you haven’t signed up for an appointment with your advisor, you better get rolling! Registration for the next semester may be put on hold for some students who are required to sign up for a mandatory meeting with their advisor. Chief advisor in Aerospace Engineering John Prussing says meeting with advisors regularly will benefit students by giving them another source for recommendation letters.
“You could do it all by e-mail but we really think it’s important to meet with your advisors face to face and discuss other things in addition to just courses.”
The College of Communications and Engineering require you to meet with your advisor. Students can sign up on an online system. Failure to do so will result in a hold on registration for the following semester. Registration begins early November.
