Champaign

  • A 20-year-old woman, a 22-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man reported criminal damage to their vehicles on the 00 block of East Chalmers Street on Monday.

According to a report, an unknown offender broke the side mirrors of the three vehicles, which were parked in an apartment parking lot.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • Money was reported stolen from Taco Bell, 1910 W. Springfield Ave., on Saturday.

According to a police report, an unknown offender stole $131 over an extended period of time beginning in early December.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 68-year-old man reported theft from his home on the 1200 block of Gertrude Avenue on Thursday.

According to a police report, the victim reported that his caretakers had stolen money, three credit and debit cards, a vacuum cleaner and checks.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • An unknown offender damaged property at the 1400 block of State Street on Dec. 16.

According to a police report, the suspect damaged a patio window to an apartment complex.

  • A 21-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man reported burglary from their vehicles in the parking lot of Ford of Champaign, 200 Carriage Center Court, on Saturday.

According to a police report, the unknown offender broke into the cars through their windows and stole a CD player and various stereo parts, including an amplifier and one 10-inch subwoofer.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 12-year-old girl and two 11-year-old girls were involved in a fight outside of the Champaign Public Library, 505 S. Randolph St., on Jan. 9.

  • A 22-year-old man was arrested on a charge of public urination at Kam’s, 618 E. Daniel St., Monday night.

According to a police report, the man was observed urinating on the building.

  • A 34-year-old woman reported theft at County Market, 2901 W. Kirby Ave., on Sunday.

According to a police report, the woman’s cell phone was taken from an unlocked locker while she was at work.

Urbana

  • A 70-year-old man reported theft from his residence at the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue on Monday.

According to a police report, an unknown offender stole a landscaping stone from the victim’s yard.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

University

  • An unknown offender reportedly damaged property at Foellinger Auditorium, 709 S. Matthews Ave., sometime between late Sunday afternoon and early Monday evening.

According to a police report, the suspect discharged two fire extinguishers causing an estimated $300 in clean-up costs. The fire extinguishers, two soap dispensers and a framed photo of Foellinger Auditorium were stolen.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A University-owned vehicle was reportedly damaged while parked at the 1000 block of Sixth Street sometime between Dec. 19 and Jan. 4.

According to a police report, an unknown offender cut ignition wires on the vehicle.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 35-year-old man was arrested on charges of burglary, battery and resisting police at the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., early Monday afternoon.

According to a police report, the suspect was allegedly attempting to steal computer games and software, valued at $598, when he was detained by bookstore staff.

  • A 22-year-old Westchester, Ill., man reported that he activated the fire alarm when he removed a fire extinguisher and discharged it inside the Delta Chi fraternity house, 1111 S. First St., early Monday morning.

According to a police report, the man was reported to student discipline.

  • A bill dispenser was detached from a vending machine in Altgeld Hall, 1409 W. Green St., sometime between Dec. 12 and Dec. 15.

According to a police report, damage was estimated at $30.

  • A resident at Oglesby Hall, 1005 College Court, reported money stolen from her room sometime between Dec. 12 and Monday.

According to a police report, an unknown offender stole $150 from a desk drawer.
