SEATTLE (AP) – Two people were shot to death Monday morning inside the University of Washington’s architecture building, university police said.
Firefighters found the victims while responding to reports of gunfire in Gould Hall around 9 a.m., Fire Department spokeswoman Helen Fitzpatrick said.
University Assistant Police Chief Ray Wittmier told MSNBC that a weapon was found at the scene that may have belonged to one of the dead people, and that murder-suicide was a possibility.
KOMO-TV reported that a woman and a man were shot to death.
Gould Hall, built in 1972, is the university’s architecture building. It houses three departmental offices, a dean’s office, a library, shop, lab, computer facilities and classrooms, according to the university’s Web site.
