Urbana police were dispatched at 7:41 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of a body floating in Boneyard Creek near the 300 block of North Race Street. When officers arrived, they found a women’s body in the creek.

After an initial investigation, the body was identified as Heather Muntean, a 30-year old female from Urbana.

The cause of death is currently unknown, however, an autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Urbana Police Department.
